Following up from yesterday`s cricket story from George, we have had another exciting outing with Leoli and Charles! 🏏
They spent a day filming at the ECB High Performance Centre in Loughborough. The day began with them playing pranks on the players, setting the tone for what turned out to be an incredible experience with a fantastic production team.🎬
With their own cameras, they filmed parts of the day themselves and had the opportunity to play cricket with current @englandcricket internationals Issy Wong, Linsey Smith and Mark Wood, as well as Mixed Disability captain Callum Flynn. They also met former England player and now broadcaster @isaguha !
Leoli and Charles wrote their own interview questions, many of which were used in the final production. They thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the day and learned a great deal about the filming process. One of the biggest surprises was discovering that much of the filming was done out of sequence, with scenes shot in reverse order to create the final story.
To round off the day, Leoli presented Issy and Linsey with a handmade card signed by all the girls at her cricket club, wishing the England Women’s team good luck in the current ICC Women`s T20 World Cup. It was a truly inspirational experience and a day they will never forget. ⭐

Following the session, participants enjoyed a Q&A with the players and had the opportunity to take photos with their sporting heroes.
To top off an already fantastic experience, George was also interviewed by BBC News! 🎥

🔬💡 Could a car drive upside down? How does sugar affect baking? Can you engineer the perfect misting system?
These were just some of the fascinating questions our Year 5 pupils set out to answer at this year’s Science Fair.
Driven by their own curiosity, pupils became experts in topics that inspired them, carrying out independent research, creating interactive displays and sharing their discoveries with confidence.
