On Wednesday, Year 3 put on a truly spectacular performance of “You Are So Special.” ✨
The children worked incredibly hard in the weeks leading up to the show, learning numerous songs, dances and lines for the play. Their dedication and enthusiasm shone through in every moment of their joyful performance. It was a truly memorable evening and a fantastic celebration of how special we all are.

The Great Fire of London was brought to life in Year 2 yesterday morning with a fantastic workshop from Trunk Theatre 🎭 In this two-person performance, children were able to join in with the songs, dances and even joined the cast in a special activity at the end, making this a fully immersive and interactive experience.
We were thrilled to welcome Warning Zone 💥to our School this week for an engaging and insightful session with our Year 5 pupils.
The visit provided the children with a valuable `Technical Toolkit` 🔨to help them assess risk and ensure their safety in various situations. The toolkit includes three essential tools: the Rewind Button, which encourages students to consider whether they can safely exit a situation they`ve entered; the Truth Detector, which helps discern whether information might be too good to be true; and the Pressure Shield, which empowers them to resist peer pressure and make wise choices. A big thank you to Warning Zone for equipping our students with these practical and empowering tools!

In a spectacular singing showcase, Fairfield Prep School joined primary schools from across the region to perform in the Big Sing 2026: Voices in Harmony at De Montfort Hall, Leicester, this weekend.
Following months of rehearsals, hundreds of voices came together for an unforgettable performance of Beyond the Horizon – an exciting collection of six new and original songs about adventurers and explorers, written and composed by Andrew Groom, Head of Prep Music at Loughborough Schools Foundation. The songs were premiered at the concert as pupils in year groups ranging from Year 3 to Year 6 performed alongside a professional live band.

📢 Fairfield Prep School is celebrating outstanding results following a recent pupil voice survey led by the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS).
Determined to gain a truly whole-school perspective, Fairfield went a step further. Using the IAPS survey as a basis, Deputy Head Academic, Jamie Moseley-Sarsfield, adapted the questions to make them accessible for younger pupils in Years 1 and 2. For more information on the voice survey, find the link in our stories.

This World Book Day, we asked our Kindergarten children about their favourite stories and it was fantastic to see their enthusiasm shine through in their answers.
Our wonderful Kindergarten teachers shared their favourite tales too!

To celebrate #WorldBookDay, we had the wonderful children`s book author, Paula Harrison, in yesterday to talk to us all about writing. With lots of workshops throughout the day, we let our imaginations run wild by learning all about how to write stories, visualise characters and express our creativity!
Celebrating creativity ✨
@lborofairfield pupils have been taking part in the ISEB and IAPS Time to Write 2026 competition, using the theme `Thread` to prompt their creative thinking and storytelling skills. The Year 5 pupils involved have been attending weekly extension creative writing sessions to complete their entries and our showcase event spotlighted their hard work.
To further celebrate their efforts within our wider Foundation, we partnered with @lborohigh to run an internal version of the competition. All stories were read and judged by the English Subject Ambassadors at LHS, alongside the Head of English, Ms. Bancroft. The Ambassadors, who are Year 12 A Level English students, kindly provided individual feedback for every entrant and have shown great enthusiasm for supporting and promoting creative writing.
