Cross-country team outrun the competition

Fairfield Prep School takes 4th place in the Leicestershire & Rutland Schools Run for Life League

We are thrilled to announce that Fairfield has been awarded 4th place in the Schools Run for Life League, an outstanding achievement among more than 120 participating schools from across Leicestershire and Rutland.

The inaugural event was established with the aim of growing participation in cross-country running across the region and the award recognises schools that have gone above and beyond to encourage children to participate in regular physical activity.

This vision closely aligns with our own commitment at Fairfield to inspire more children to discover the enjoyment and benefits of running. We are passionate about ensuring that every child has the opportunity to take part, challenge themselves and experience the sense of achievement that comes from sport.

This fantastic recognition reflects the enthusiasm, determination and commitment shown by our pupils throughout the cross-country season. Every run, every race and every effort contributed to this impressive result, demonstrating not only sporting ability but also resilience, perseverance and teamwork.

Along with the encouragement of our staff and the invaluable support of our families, we are proud to promote a culture where participation, enjoyment and personal achievement are celebrated just as much as competition.

Congratulations to every child who represented Fairfield this season as outstanding ambassadors for our school; we are incredibly proud of all that you have achieved. We look forward to building on this success and welcoming even more children to our cross-country team next year as we continue to promote healthy, active lifestyles for all.
