Lower Prep (Ages 5-7)

At our school learning is not just a series of lessons but an exciting journey where every child’s individuality and talents are nurtured, learning is a lively, hands-on experience for our children.

We believe that education should be an adventure. It is an opportunity for our children to explore, discover, and learn in a fun and exciting environment. We strive to ensure that every lesson is engaging and challenging, allowing our pupils to develop a love for learning that will last a lifetime.

Our teachers are dedicated to creating a vibrant and stimulating atmosphere where hands-on activities are at the forefront. We use a variety of teaching styles and spaces offering access to a wider curriculum that includes outdoor education and Forest School experiences. These activities allow children to connect with nature, develop their problem-solving skills, and enhance their social development in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

From interactive science experiments to creative arts and crafts, the children are encouraged to get involved and express themselves. Children are given the opportunity to explore different subjects in ways that resonate with them, allowing for the development of their individual talents and personalities. The curriculum is enhanced by lessons from dedicated subject specialists in Music, Foreign Languages, ICT, Art, DT and Sport.

Our dedicated staff provides appropriate scaffolding to support each child’s learning journey, ensuring that they feel confident and motivated. We celebrate individual achievement, fostering a growth mindset that encourages resilience and determination.

Our Lower-Prep curriculum is designed to promote teamwork through group projects and collaborative play. Children learn the value of working together, sharing ideas, and building friendships. These skills that are essential for their future.
