Performing Arts
From musical productions, dance extravaganzas and performance recitals, at Fairfield, we believe that every child should have access to and experience the transformative power of drama and performing arts and every child is encouraged to discover and develop their talents.
Our commitment to integrating drama activities throughout the curriculum allows students to explore and express themselves in creative ways. Whether through literacy lessons or topic work in History, Geography, and Life Skills, we encourage our children to engage with the world around them and understand the diverse cultures and customs that shape our lives.
Every child in each year group has the opportunity to perform in a drama production, allowing every child to participate in the audition process for speaking and dancing roles. This experience is invaluable, as it not only fosters teamwork but also ensures that all children are fully involved in the creative journey.
Our extensive co-curricular programme and LAMDA tuition supports our vision. Pupils have the opportunity to participate in dance and drama clubs and to receive drama tuition from a qualified LAMDA teacher (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts). These sessions not only hone performance skills and give additional opportunity for public performance but also prepare children to enter LAMDA examinations, and achieve nationally recognised qualifications, accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority in England.
