Co-curricular Opportunities

Fairfield is buzzing with opportunities beyond the timetable. From sport to coding, debating to cookery, music to robotics, our extra-curricular activities cater to a wide range of interests. We encourage every child to explore new avenues, step out of their comfort zone, and discover their passions. These activities not only enrich their school experience but also provide invaluable skills that will serve them well into the future. Our programme is designed to open doors and provide the gift of opportunity, offering something for everyone.

Throughout the year, our students engage in regular trips, themed weeks, and special events that bring learning to life. These experiences create lasting memories and foster a sense of community among our pupils. Whether it’s a science fair, a cultural day, or a talent show, each event is an opportunity for our children to shine and showcase their talents. Our pupils learn essential life skills such as teamwork, communication, and leadership, all while having fun and exploring their interests.

Our residential trips are particularly significant in building independence among our pupils. These excursions encourage self-reliance and resilience, allowing children to step into new environments and face challenges head-on. The friendships forged and experiences shared during these trips often become cherished memories that last a lifetime.

Co-curricular

A School for Budding Athletes

At Fairfield, we’re growing budding athletes, best preparing them for senior school. Children are supported to develop skills, confidence and character while enjoying a broad, balanced sports programme. Our pupils have opportunities to play and compete at regional level, supported by expert coaches, excellent facilities and strong partnerships. Through lessons, clubs and competitions, they learn teamwork, resilience and what it means to win well and lose well. Whatever their ability, every child feels valued and part of something bigger. Sport at Fairfield inspires children to love movement, challenge themselves, and thrive both on and off the field.

  • Elite athlete coaches
  • World-class facilities
  • Sport partnerships with regional and national teams.

Co-curricular

World-class Music Facilities

Every child has the chance to explore instruments, join choirs or ensembles, and perform throughout the year. Highlights include Soundbite sessions, the annual Encore Competition, and our Summer Al Fresco. Pupils are supported by expert specialist teachers and enjoy age-appropriate schemes such as Year 2 Strings and Year 4 Wind, Brass, and Percussion, helping them build skills, confidence, and a love of music. Fairfield Prep pupils also benefit from the Foundation’s world-class shared music facilities and strong relationships with the likes of Coach House Pianos and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
